The fermentation tracker app that remembers for you

You ferment several jars at once — a kefir in F1, a kombucha that's dragging on, a flavoured F2 forgotten in the cupboard. FermPal keeps track of every batch for you, phase by phase, so nothing ever ends up on the ceiling again.

The problem: too many jars, not enough memory

One jar is easy. Then you start a second, gift some grains, test a blackberry F2… and one morning you no longer know:

This isn't a recipe problem. It's a memory and organisation problem once you run several ferments in parallel. Notes in your phone, sticky labels on lids: they last two weeks, then they fall apart.

What FermPal does, phase by phase

FermPal tracks the full cycle of a ferment, from stock to archive — not just a frozen recipe.

1
Your stock, always current.
Sugar, tea, fruit, kefir grains, SCOBYs. Grains and SCOBYs are flagged reusable: never deducted by mistake when you start a batch.
2
A phased recipe, not a flat list.
Each recipe describes its steps — F1, F2, cold crash — with durations and temperatures. Write your own, import a BeerXML file, or let the AI compose one from your stock.
3
The batch that moves forward for you.
Start a batch from a recipe: FermPal deducts the ingredients, shows where each ferment is at, and tells you when to move to the next phase. No more forgotten F2.
4
Tasting and archive.
Log the result, and the batch joins your history. Next time, you know exactly what worked.
5
Versioned recipes.
Every save creates a version. Experiment fearlessly: if a variation flops, roll back to the one before.

Who it's for

FermPal is built for the regular home fermenter of fizzy drinks: water kefir, kombucha, ginger beer, hop water, kvass. The person juggling several jars who wants to stop holding it all in their head.

It's not yet another recipe blog, nor a note in your phone. It's the log that structures what you already do — upgraded. (Beer and mead features exist too, with BeerXML import — a bonus if you brew.)

Frequently asked questions

What is a fermentation tracker app?
A tool that keeps track of every batch in progress: which recipe, which phase, for how long, when to act. Instead of sticky notes and memory.
Does it work for kefir AND kombucha?
Yes, plus ginger beer, hop water, kvass, jun, plant sodas — every fizzy fermented drink. Beer and mead included.
Do I need to install anything?
No. FermPal is an installable web app (PWA): it runs in the browser and can be added to your home screen if you like. Bilingual EN/FR, synced across devices.
Is it free?
The free plan is enough to start: 20 recipes, 3 active ferments, 3 AI recipes per month. Pro is €4.90/month (or €3.90/month billed annually) to ferment without counting.
Isn't a paper brewing log enough?
For one jar, sure. Once you have three going at once, a paper log won't tell you when an F2 is ready — FermPal will.
